    About Mohamed-Khadar

    Mohamed-Khadar Qas is an educator, researcher, and advocate for equity in higher education. He holds a bachelor’s degree from CSU Dominguez Hills and dual master’s degrees from San Diego State University in Postsecondary Educational Leadership and Counseling, along with a certificate in Trauma-Informed Care and Mental Health Recovery. Since 2017, Mohamed has worked as a research associate with the Community College Equity Assessment Lab (CCEAL) at San Diego State University, co-authoring several reports that highlight educational inequities that have received statewide media attention and have led to state policy changes for foster youth (AB 740). Mohamed is passionate about fostering meaningful student-educator relationships and creating inclusive academic environments. Outside of work, he enjoys watching combat sports, reading, and traveling.
