    New Seawolf Family Programs

    As a Proud Seawolf Family Member, we know you play a vital role in your student's success and look forward to your partnership in the transition of your newest Seawolf to Stony Brook University.     Seawolf Information Sessions

    Information Sessions

    Seawolf Information Sessions get you connected to a variety of campus offices, hear about the services they offer, and ask questions live. Students are required to register and attend either Living on Campus or Commuting to Campus. We highly encourage you to register for the additional sessions that interest you! Topics include:

    • Living on Campus*
    • Commuting to Campus*
    • Paying for College
    • Seawolves Essentials: Meal plans, Books & More!
    • Academic Support and Success
    • Build Experience at SBU and Beyond: Student Employment, Study Abroad, Research & More
    • Get Involved!

    *Required to attend either Living on Campus or Commuting to Campus (based on student's plan for housing)

    Seawolf Visit Days

    (Optional)

    This is an optional event offered to new students and up to 2 family members/guests. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the student experience from Peer Assistant Leaders, interact with campus departments, attend in person Seawolf Information Sessions, tour the campus and more! By attending a Visit Day, you will complete the Commuting to Campus or Living on Campus Seawolf Information Session requirement.

    Seawolf Visit Days are highly encouraged, but not required.

    When registering, use the drop-down menu to choose how many guests (up to 2) you will be bringing in addition to yourself (the student). This event is rain, snow or shine! 

    When registering for a Seawolf Visit Day you can choose to also register for your Seawolf Connections. You can choose the extended 'Seawolf Visit Day (with Seawolf Connection)' and complete your required Seawolf Connections in person!
