The Seawolves at Suffolk program is a joint admission initiative that provides a guaranteed pathway for students to transfer from SUNY Suffolk to Stony Brook University. Designed for students who have a strong interest in attending Stony Brook, this program allows them to begin their studies at SUNY Suffolk, the largest community college in the SUNY system. By meeting specific transfer requirements, students in this cohort are guaranteed admission into select programs at Stony Brook University. This partnership leverages the strong relationship between the two institutions, which already see hundreds of SUNY Suffolk students successfully transfer to Stony Brook each year.
As part of this program, all SUNY Suffolk students can easily schedule appointments with a designated Stony Brook transfer advisor. They are also encouraged to attend events on the Stony Brook and Suffolk campuses, providing them with a chance to explore student life, academic offerings, and campus organizations, helping them feel connected to the Seawolf community from day one.
