Join us on Stony Brook's campus for this extraordinary tradition that challenges teams to build seaworthy crafts using only cardboard, duct tape, string and paint. Boats compete in two divisions — Speedster (two-person) and Yacht (four-person) — and are judged on design, spirit, endurance and originality, as well as their ability to stay afloat for the 200-yard sprint across Roth Pond!

Parking information and all other pertinent details will be communicated as we grow closer to the event. Lunch will be provided, but feel free to bring in anything else you would like! We recommend bringing blankets or collapsible lawn chairs/camping chairs, to comfortably watch the race from the grassy area, as well as ample sunscreen, as this is an outdoor event.
