HOPE is a free after-school program offered to students at Brentwood, Longwood & Wyandanch High Schools. The two-year program meets on Stony Brook's campus throughout the year. Your school district will provide transportation to and from Stony Brook University. As a member of the HOPE Program, you'll explore careers in healthcare and medicine through hands-on activities and presentations led by Stony Brook Medicine and Stony Brook University faculty, employees and students. Qualifications:Minimum 2.5 (75) GPADemonstrated interest in healthcare/medicine careerJunior (11th grade) standing during the 2023-24 school year Enrolled at Brentwood, Longwood or Wyandanch High SchoolA completed application plus two (2) letters of recommendation must be submitted by 5 pm Friday, June 9, 2023. Select students will then proceed to a virtual interview before decisions are made.
